Since I was young I have always enjoyed manipulating photographs on Photoshop, adjusting the colours, adding textures or blending two together - taking them to a different place. During a trip to Crail in Fife just prior to the first Covid-19 lockdown I stayed at a family friend's who had their own double exposure's framed on the wall which blew me away. On the way back to Glasgow with lockdown imminent and time on my hands I thought I would have a go at attempting my own.
My double exposures are made up of combining old techniques with new. I shoot on an Olympus OM10 film camera and then once developed and scanned I overlay two digitally in Adobe Photoshop making a whole new composition. This method satisfies both my love of analogue and digital.
I am huge fan of surrealism and perhaps this shows in this set of work.
